Digital Reproduction is a common method Painters and Artists use to:
1) Make a back up of their art
2) Use for making reproduction prints for profit of a specific artwork
3) Use for web, e-mail, and any other digital purpose
Since it is indeed artwork that is to be reproduced, the quality matters, which then means color and contrast need to be as accurate as possible. This is done by actually photographing the artwork with our high resolution digital cameras - under studio lighting. With this method is also possible to reproduce artwork that is framed behind glass.
Rates vary on size and project.
